Shona walked away with two big awards this month when she won both the Western Cape Regional Productivity Award, as well as the Social Entrepeneur Regional Business Achiever's award. She has also been accepted into the final round of the Endeavor International Programme.

Shonaquip has gone from strength to strength in the past six years, from a one-woman business to a succesful company. 
On the 17th of July, the National Productivity Institute awarded Shonaquip with the 2008 Western Cape Productivity award, based on the company's growth and increased success since 2004. 
The week before, Shona was awarded the Social Entrepeneur Regional Business Achiever's award from the Business Woman's Association of South Africa, 
She has also been accepted into the final round of the Endeavor International programme. Endeavor is a non-profit organisation that supports high-impact entrepeneurs in emerging markets across the world. Shonaquip has been identified as a 'high impact company" and should we qualify for the programme, Endeavor will assist the company to customize our local and global services.
These awards have shown us that there is a need for a company such as Shonaquip in South Africa and we strive to continue growing and filling a need for persons with disability in our country and across the world.

Shona will be a keynote speaker at the UCT Graduate School of Business on the 18th of August 2008. She will be discussing the challenges faced by women in the African business world.
